Former Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson has spoken out for the first time since regaining her freedom from Kiri Kiri prison, where she was remanded over allegations of unruly behaviour on board a flight.
It will be recalled that her arrest and imprisonment sparked public outrage, with multiple eyewitness accounts disputing the claims against her. Following the uproar, the court cleared and discharged her of all allegations.
Taking to Instagram after her release, Comfort expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians for their prayers, love, and support during the ordeal. She revealed that she is still in physical pain from the way she was treated but assured that she will share her own side of the story once she gets adequate rest and medical care.
Her message read: “Thank you so much for all the prayers, love, and support. I’ve been released from the prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event. Thank you so much my lovely friends and supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. God bless y’all. THANK YOU MY GREAT GOD!!!”
