Atalanta Reject Inter Bid for Lookman

Atalanta have rejected a fresh €45 million bid from Inter Milan for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, as transfer talks between the two Serie A clubs stall.

According to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter submitted an offer consisting of €40 million as a base fee, along with an additional €5 million in performance-related add-ons.

Despite the substantial offer, it still falls short of Atalanta’s firm €50 million valuation of the 27-year-old, who remains one of their most valuable assets.

Ademola Lookman, who is currently tied to a long-term contract with the club until 2027, is not under any immediate pressure to make a move away from the Bergamo-based side.

Sources close to the club indicate that Atalanta are in no rush to sell and will only entertain further discussions if their asking price is met in full.

The Nigerian international has become a key figure for Atalanta, particularly after a stellar 2024/25 campaign where he contributed to 27 goals across all competitions, boosting his market value significantly.

His performances have drawn interest from several top clubs across Europe, but Atalanta remain steadfast in retaining their star unless a significant offer arrives that reflects his current form and importance to the team.

With the transfer window still open, speculation around Lookman's future is expected to continue, though Inter may now have to reassess their strategy or increase their bid if they hope to land the talented winger before the deadline.
