VeryDarkMan Reacts to Naira Marley Forgiving Iyabo Ojo

Controversial social media activist, Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has openly criticized singer Naira Marley for forgiving Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her alleged defamatory statements made during the height of the Mohbad case.

In a video posted to his official TikTok account, VDM disclosed that he had previously encouraged Naira Marley to press legal charges against Iyabo Ojo, accusing her of cyberbullying and character defamation.

According to VDM, the actress’s public comments during the intense public backlash surrounding the tragic death of singer Mohbad were highly damaging to Naira Marley’s image and career. He argued that these accusations contributed significantly to the decline of Naira Marley’s reputation in the eyes of the public.

“I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo but he said Allah will judge,” VDM narrated. “I told him to act angry the moment we walked into the Police Commissioner’s office, and insist that Iyabo’s defamatory statements had ruined his image and career. He agreed at first. But when we arrived and Iyabo Ojo apologised in Yoruba, Naira Marley immediately forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was completely disappointed.”

VeryDarkMan further explained that Naira Marley’s close associate, Sam Larry, also strongly disagreed with the decision to accept Iyabo Ojo’s apology. He said Sam Larry became visibly emotional, clearly frustrated with Naira Marley’s forgiveness.

“When Sam Larry saw that Naira Marley had accepted Iyabo Ojo’s apology, he was angry and protested right there. I was secretly signalling to Naira Marley not to accept the apology because I knew Iyabo Ojo would never hold up her side of the agreement. Sam Larry shed tears,” VDM said.

It is worth noting that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were initially accused by many Nigerians of being involved in the untimely death of Mohbad. However, a court ruling issued four months ago officially cleared both men of any wrongdoing, concluding the investigation with no criminal charges against them.
