Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has made startling claims involving her son, Festus Ojo, fellow actor Jigan Baba Oja, and controversial music artist Naira Marley. The actress alleged during a recent TikTok live session that Festus once consumed a drink laced with drugs at Naira Marley’s residence — a revelation she claims was brought to her attention by Jigan himself.
Iyabo, who has been locked in a fierce online feud with controversial commentator Verydarkman, opened up further during the livestream, linking the incident to the ongoing group chat saga and the broader fallout over her alleged refusal to publicly apologise to Naira Marley and Sam Larry in the aftermath of the Mohbad controversy.
“Jigan, I am sorry that I have to say this. I got a call from Jigan, confirming to me that Festus took drugs at Naira Marley’s house. He said he had to rush him to the toilet to vomit and later warned him never to go back there again,” Iyabo Ojo said during the session.
The actress said she was devastated upon learning of the situation and became even more incensed after seeing a viral video of Verydarkman calling her a “failed actress.” This, she said, pushed her to retaliate by dragging Verydarkman’s mother in a separate video — a move that sparked criticism across social media platforms.
“I was already angry, and that was when I saw Verydarkman’s video about ‘failed actress.’ That was when I retaliated and dragged Verydarkman’s mother. My children called me, saying I shouldn’t have responded,” Iyabo admitted, acknowledging the backlash that followed her reaction.
Her claims have added a new layer to the growing controversy surrounding the entertainers and influencers involved in the Mohbad case, and fans continue to debate the implications of these revelations for those directly named.
