Popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Dope Caesar, has firmly dismissed widespread rumours circulating on social media claiming that she had passed away, assuring fans and followers that she is alive, well, and in good health.
The unfounded reports, which quickly gained traction online earlier in the day, alleged that the fast-rising female DJ had died after battling an undisclosed illness. The shocking claims triggered a wave of concern among her supporters, with many taking to various platforms to express disbelief, confusion, and sadness over the supposed news.
Some close associates and fans reportedly reached out privately to confirm her status, prompting DJ Dope Caesar to take to Instagram Live to directly address the situation. She appeared calm and smiling as she reassured viewers, stating unequivocally that nothing bad had happened to her.
“Guys, nothing happened to me. I’m not dead. I don’t know where this rumour is coming from. I’m okay. I’m very, very okay. Instablog, please don’t post anything about me. I didn’t die, I’m not in an accident, nothing happened to me. Definitely somebody started this for reasons I don’t understand, but I’m okay, I’m doing well. Thank you,” she said.

The DJ also used the opportunity to call out those she accused of deliberately spreading false information for clout or financial gain. She emphasised that such baseless rumours can cause unnecessary panic and emotional distress to family, friends, and fans.
“@instablogja whoever paid you to post that rubbish, na all una sabi! Please don’t believe nonsense on these platforms! I am very OKAY!! Literally working and minding my business…” she added in a follow-up post, reiterating that she remains focused on her career and personal life.
Her clarification has since brought relief to fans, who flooded her comment section with messages of support, relief, and love, while also condemning the spread of fake news.
