Ossai Ovie Success, the Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, has publicly expressed his disapproval of Nigerian superstar Davido and his wife Chioma’s decision to hold their white wedding in Miami, Florida.
The couple, who previously had a lavish traditional wedding in Nigeria, are reportedly planning a grand celebration in the United States, which has drawn significant attention and mixed reactions from the public.
Taking to his official Facebook page, Ossai Ovie shared his opinion on the upcoming ceremony, describing it as an unnecessary display of wealth and a financially irresponsible move.
He voiced his disappointment, stating that even though Davido is extremely wealthy, it does not justify such an extravagant celebration abroad, especially after having already held a high-profile wedding ceremony in Nigeria.
Ossai further argued that many globally respected billionaires and entrepreneurs, including Aliko Dangote, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg, are not known for spending lavishly on such personal events.
He also questioned the rationale behind organizing another grand wedding overseas when the couple is already legally and traditionally married.
